Alternative Insuranse Solutions History

Early Sixties

The agency was originally established in the early sixties.  It was located in Northern Indiana where two locations were eventually established.  A third location was later established in the North-Western part of Ohio.  It was at this time his passion for cars and racing took hold.  While starting the insurance agency, he also started a "speed shop" which was operated for about three years.  With the coaxing of the insurance companies, he was eventually persuaded to quit that business venture.

Mid-Sixties

In the late sixties, the agency was sold.  The owner of the agency, Eugene Scott, went into management with an insurance company in California.  While in California involvement and interest in special interest vehicles was expanded.  He was involved in the Sports Car Club of Southern California.  There he expanded his car enthusiasm by owning an amateur racing team and working as a race official, to mention a few other activities.

Mid-Eighties

He left management in the late eighties and relocated back to the Mid-West where another multiple lines insurance agency was established.

Due to the continued passion for all forms of special interest vehicles, that part of the agency became involved in numerous car shows.  It was there that they were able to help customers secure the proper coverages for their hobby.  Being a broker, they were not married to just one of the specialty vehicle programs.  This gave them the ability to find the right coverages for just about everyone, plus they had the ability to do the shopping for their fellow car enthusiasts.

Car Shows

For a number of years since the devotion to these special vehicles, you have seen the agency at various car shows.  Some of the shows where you might have seen them are Good Guys, World of Wheels, Cavalcade of Wheels, NSRA, Frog Follies, Back To The Fifties(St Paul MN), Street Machine National, to mention just a few.
